Open Path is a layer fantasy which blends old fashioned storytelling with emotional depth. Our story begins after a failed mission of peace. Jesse Deverian finds no comfort being at home. A message from his mother leaves his heart in utter sadness. In the midst of demonic invasion, Jesse finds himself at a crossroads. Open Path begins as a long drawn-out war with an invading enemy turns deadly as a new generation begins to realize their true path.
Our characters’ journey is both physical and spiritual, laced with political tension with intending doom from the demons invading the Realm. The ever wise Mother Miriad is the guiding voice of this narrative. She is the living record of the long, drawn-out war.

In the summer of 2019, K. L. Bonifay reached a point where she needed an outlet, something to voice the scars upon her heart. She once had a dream of being a writer. Due to circumstance, she put down her pen, letting the dream die. Remembering how much she enjoyed being at home with a notebook scribbling down adventures made her think of writing.
K sat down to write her story. It was hard to find words for the things that hurt her or where to start. After watching the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe , she found her way to tell her story and the Howling Heart Saga was born. During the craziness of COVID, she mapped out her series.
